It's with Apple now

Submitted Snugit for App Review this morning. The button that does it is smaller than you'd expect for something that's been the whole point of the last two weeks, and after you click it, almost nothing happens. The status changes from a blue "Ready to Submit" to a yellow "Waiting for Review," and that's it. No confetti, no confirmation email worth reading twice. Just a status pill, sitting there.

Everything that had to be true before that click

A working build, uploaded through EAS. A listing with a subtitle that took longer to write than several actual features. Screenshots that had to look real because they were real. Privacy details filled in honestly, since Snugit doesn't upload anything and saying otherwise would be its own kind of bug. A last pass on a real phone to catch the two things a simulator can't tell the truth about. All of it exists only to get to a single, undramatic button — which is probably how it should be. The button isn't the interesting part. Everything before it is.

What "waiting" actually means here

Apple's review can take anywhere from a few hours to several days, and there's no dashboard that tells you which one you're getting — you just check back. It can also come back with a rejection instead of an approval, which would mean reading exactly what got flagged, fixing it, and resubmitting into the same queue. Neither outcome changes what today is: the day the app stopped being something only I could see.

Where this leaves the timeline

Snugit started on August 7. Two weeks later it's sitting in Apple's queue instead of on my phone alone, with real runway left before the hackathon deadline this was all built for. That gap between "submitted" and "actually live" is going to be the strangest few days of this whole project — nothing left to build, and nothing to do but wait for someone else's answer.

Download Snugit — that status pill turned green, and it's live now.

Before this: the last thing I checked before hitting submit — one last pass on a real phone.
