How to Customize the iPhone Share Sheet

Quick answer: Open any share sheet, swipe to the end of the app row and tap More, then Edit. Turn apps on or off and add the ones you use to Favorites so they appear first. For the actions list, scroll down and tap Edit Actions.

Written for iOS 18 and iOS 26. Menu names can differ slightly on older versions.

The share sheet fills up with apps you never use, while the one you want is three swipes away. Five minutes of setup puts your most-used apps and actions first everywhere on your iPhone.

Add, remove or reorder apps

  1. Tap Share in any app, like Safari or Photos.
  2. Swipe left on the row of app icons and tap More.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Tap the green plus to add an app to Favorites, or switch apps off under Suggestions.
  5. Drag the handles in Favorites to set the order, then tap Done.

Customize the actions list

  1. Open a share sheet and scroll to the bottom of the actions list.
  2. Tap Edit Actions.
  3. Tap the plus next to actions you use (like Copy, Save to Files or Add to Reading List) to make them Favorites.
  4. Switch off actions you never use, and drag Favorites into order.

Hide contact suggestions

The row of people at the top comes from Siri Suggestions. To hide it, go to Settings → Siri (called Apple Intelligence & Siri on some iPhones, or Siri & Search on older versions), find Suggestions, and turn off Show When Sharing.

Add Snugit to your share sheet

After installing Snugit, open any share sheet, tap More at the end of the app row, tap Edit, and add Save to Snugit to Favorites. Now saving a link, photo or file from any app is a single tap.
